1. Watch for and clean up any wet spots. 
2. Fix plumbing leaks. 
3. Install dehumidifiers to get rid of condensation and excess moisture.
4. Make sure that any appliances that generate moisture (like dryers) have a vent leading to the outdoors to keep moisture outside. 
5. Keep HVAC drip pans dry, clean, and empty. 
6. Make sure HVAC systems have recommended maintenance. 
7. Keep humidity levels below 60 percent. 
8. Keep foundations dry by providing proper drainage in your landscaping.
